How we protect your session.
AES-256 envelope encryption
Your session credentials are sealed with AES-256 envelope encryption, with keys bound to your account alone.
Decrypted only in memory
Credentials are unsealed only in memory, only for the moment they're needed to hold your presence.
Never written to logs
Tokens never appear in our logs, error reports, or analytics. Not truncated, not masked — not there at all.
Encrypted in transit
Every connection — you to us, us to Slack — travels over TLS. Nothing moves in the clear.
No bot, no admin approval
StatusGreen is a personal connection. It installs nothing in your workspace and never needs an admin's sign-off.
Deletion that means it
Disconnect a workspace and its stored credentials are permanently deleted, immediately. Leaving takes one click.
What your workspace admin sees.
To Slack, StatusGreen looks like a normal web session — the same kind you create when you sign in from a browser. A workspace admin who reviews active sessions can see it, just as they can see any device you've signed in from. Invisibility isn't something anyone can truthfully promise — and a product that promises it anyway is telling you something about its other claims.

Does it encrypt your session data — and say how?
Vague "bank-level security" claims are a red flag. Look for the actual scheme. Ours is AES-256 envelope encryption, per-user keys.
Does it stay out of your messages?
A presence tool needs exactly one job. If a product reads or stores message content, ask why. StatusGreen has no feature that touches messages.
Can you leave instantly, with nothing left behind?
You should never have to email support to delete a credential. Disconnecting StatusGreen deletes it on the spot.
Is it honest about what admins can see?
Nobody can truthfully promise invisibility. If a product does, walk away. Our straight answer is right on this page.
